How do I use the Chat Panel to see fan info while messaging
The Chat Panel is a sidebar in your messenger that shows you key details about the fan you're chatting with. Like how long they've followed you, how much they spend, and any notes you've saved, so you get the context you need without leaving the conversation.
What you'll need
- An active conversation in the messenger
- Creator access, or chatter access granted by the creator (via agency)
Steps
- Go to the Messenger and select a conversation.
- On desktop, the Chat Panel opens automatically in the right sidebar.
- On mobile, tap the Info icon to open the Chat Panel.
- Check the fan's status at the top: Fan since date and messaging eligibility.
- Review Sale Info for last purchase date, lifetime revenue, and spender indicators for average PPM and tip (low/medium/high).
- Check the Groups section to see which groups the fan belongs to.
- Click the pencil icon next to Groups to open Manage groups, then add or remove the fan from groups.
- Scroll to Fan Notes to read any saved background on the fan.
- Click into the Notes field and type your update.
- Your note autosaves after a few seconds, or click away from the field to save immediately. A ✓ Saved confirmation appears below the field once it's stored.
Key information
- Closing or opening the Chat Panel on desktop applies to all your conversations, not just the one you're viewing.
- If a fan is blocked, you'll see a Messaging not eligible badge instead of the usual status info.
- If a fan has no purchase history, Sale Info shows zero or empty values instead of spender indicators.
- The categories (or 'bins') for lifetime revenue, pay per message and tips are not calculated live. Every morning we check how each user compares to all your spending fans.
